Made for video, landscapes, portraits, or long exposures, our variable ND2-400 offers a large depth of field, motion blur, and shutter speed options in varying lighting conditions.
Our variable filter ND2-400 allows you to use slower shutter speeds for motion blur effects without overexposing your photos when shooting in variable bright light.
High quality optical glass.
Made with Japanese optical glass and coated with 8 layers of nano-coating for clarity and durability.
Not for wide-angle
It is recommended to use fixed ND filters, or variable ND2-32 or ND8-128 with focal lengths <1.378 in. This filter can only be rotated halfway through the minimum to maximum range without encountering an x pattern - you can thank physics for this restriction.
Not for telephoto
For telephoto lenses, we recommend using ND2-32 or Variable ND8-128 or 2Peak Fixed ND filters to avoid limitations and achieve the best results for your images.
Raise your lid
Note that to use a lens cap, hood, or to stack filters on top of your variable ND, you will need to increase the size of one filter. This is to further avoid any vignetting.
Plant 5 trees
Buying a Gobe product finances local communities to plant 5 trees in areas affected by deforestation, including Madagascar, Haiti, Nepal, Mozambique and Indonesia.
All the trees are planted by a team of local workers, providing vital employment while rejuvenating the world's forests.
For a cleaner and greener future.
Trees sequester carbon from the atmosphere, provide food and shelter, reduce the effects of droughts and floods, and prevent water pollution.
